Mahendralal's father was Maganlal Harakchand Raghuvanshi and his mother is Vassantra Givandas.  His paternal grandparents were Harakhchand Narsim Raghuvanshi and Panibai [Panim Bai]. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Vinodrai, Manharlal, Tarulata and Hasvanti bai. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Jentilal, Ramniclal, Indumati and Chandrakala.  Mahendralal is no longer alive.
